According to LA Times, General Motors recalled cars on models of Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick. Earlier, Toyota went to recall more than 700, 000 Prius vehicles.
GM's Cadillac will be recalled due to glitches on rear head restraints. According to GM, there are 12, 000 vehicles affected.
The National Traffic Safety Administration informed GM that the Cadillac restraints may fall short on the national standard, as it has high possibility of lock failure. The defect may result to neck injury when accidents happen.
The recall on the Cadillac models include cars manufactured from October 2011 to August of this year. If your car is affected by the recall, you are advised to call the Cadillac dealership or reach General Motors at 1-800-458-8006.
Buick Verano, Sonic and Chevy Cruze are recalled due to the problematic airbags. The malfunction of the eletronic system may result to failure in preventing injuries during accidents, said NTSA.
Issues of these said cars will be fixed by GM free of charge. The company is in the process of contacting those who have bought the recalled vehicles.
