PlayStation Mobile Developer Program To Be Launched by Sony
According to Slash Gear, developers are very ecstatic over the announcement of Sony that they will be launched the Sony PlayStation Mobile Developer Program, which will allow developers to create program for the gaming console.
The move of Sony comes after smartphones and other PlayStation certified devices are given capability to launch PlayStation games. The opening of PlayStation to developer will open new games in the next few months.
For only $99, developers can publish unlimited number of applications or games annually. PlayStation Mobile Developer Program SDK is available for free downloads, and the Dev Portal is an open access for resources on how to use the SDK in building and creating new games and applications.
The past months have seen expansion of PlayStation Certified devices and smartphones, including HTC One X, One S, One VXperia Play, Xperia S, Xperia Ion, Xperia Acro (and Acro HD), One X+, Xperia Arc, and Sony Tablet S/P.
For developers to start using the PlayStation Mobile Developer Program, you need to have a Sony Entertainment Network ID. Setup an account and register at PSM DevPortal. You can now start building a new PlayStation game.
