According to Online News Heard Now, for those who have already bought Nesquik Chocolate Powder Nestle issued an advisory to check details of the product after the company recalled some Nesquik.

Report from Nestle said a limited number of Nesquik Chocolate Powder may be contaminated with salmonella. The voluntary recall intends to resolve issues over health complications.

Nestle's move to recall Nesquik was made after Omya, Inc., the calcium carbonate supplier of Nestle.

So far, nobody reported any complication due to the salmonella contamination of Nesquik. Consumers are highly advised to check containers of Nesquik with 10.9, 21.8 and 40.7 ounces. These containers will have an October 2014 expiration date.
