Lebron James: Highest Paid Endorsement
Lebron James led all American athletes in terms of endorsement earning; Kobe Bryant comes second. James earned $42 million and Bryant had $34 million in the bag. Compared to the top 10 MLB players total and combined endorsement earning of $30 million, James and Bryant still come higher.
The megascale endorsement earnings of James and Bryant are attributed to their lucractive show deals. With their own show brand, these athletes were able to influence the market with what they wear. NBA stars that earn most had deals with show companies like Nike and Adidas. James also has other endorsements such as Upper Deck, Dunkin Donuts, Nike, Audemars Piguet, and Coca Cola.
Compared to the earning of soccer players, James and Bryant still earn higher. Beckham, Ronaldo, and Messi earned $20 million in endorsement.
