According to CNET NEWS, Anonymous has announced its syndicated attack of hacking information and data from Paypal, Symantec and other Australian government websites. The attack and hacktivism is part of the Guy Fawkes Day.

The hacking activity is a protest against the surveillance of activities being handed down by the government toward Internet users. Surveillance system is an act of attacking rights of privacy and civil freedoms, said Trapwire and INDECT.

Twitter accounts of the de-centralized group said the attack is just the beginning of the an activism and protests they will continue to make in the few days to come.

For the time, Anonymous Australia is the most active in its protest taking Paypal and Imageshack by storm.
