Fifty Shades of Grey Blamed for Baby Boom
According to Metro News, one hospital executive blames the popular Fifty Shades of Grey for the baby boom in their area.
"The timing is suspiciously close," said David Musyj, the CEO and President of Windsor Regional Hospital.
Fifty Shades of Grey, with the genre of erotic fiction, was released in Canada early 2012. The plot of the book works on an intimate and sexual relationship between a college student and a business tycoon. Steamy and explicit sex scenes made the book very popular.
To Musyj, though he haven't read the book, Fifty Shades of Grey promotes "promotes increased levels of bedroom activity."
The conclusion was not based on scientific evidence, but the correlation could not be denied. He cited that last 2003 the blackout results to higher birthrate, as well as the new collective bargaining signed with the three automakers.
The recent spike of births can only attributed to Fifty Shades of Grey, all doubts removed.
"It’s not like Windsor had a cold winter," he said.
